The author (Sandra Scand) is a proud grandparent, who has been writing little children's stories since her first grandchild was born 17 years ago. She now has four grandsons. "Little Red" is her third grandson and the only redhead in the family. He was nick named by the author shortly after he was born with a surprising little tuft of red hair. She is an avid reader and a member of several book clubs. She is also a member of The Canadian Children's Book Centre. The author is retired from the college community and lives in Waterloo, Ontario.
As a member of the Canadian Children's Book Centre I am available to do readings and workshops at schools and libraries.
